The COTRAL Audiotest is a free and easy to use software allowing testing of one's hearing. It is above all an awareness-raising tool which does not replace a medical examination of the audiogram type.

Simple to use, it highlights hearing losses, thereby increasing awareness of the risk of noise and of wearing the hearing protections 100% of the time spent exposed to noise.

Equipment required performing the test under the optimum conditions:

• a PC-type computer functioning under the Windows operating system (Windows 98, Windows XP, Windows 2000, Vista, Windows 7),
• an audio headset is recommended.

Software installation procedure:

1. Click on the link below.

2. If you are using Internet Explorer, your browser will ask you where you would like to save the program Audiotest.exe. Choose to save it in the folder or directory "My documents".
   If you use Mozilla Firefox, your browser will most likely not ask you where you want to save it. The program Audiotest.exe may have been placed in the "Downloads" folder by default.
   If you use Mozilla Firefox and your browser asks to you save the program Audiotest.exe, choose the "My documents" folder.

3. Open "My documents", run the program Audiotest.exe and let yourself be guided!

4. Once the software has been installed, an Audiotest icon will appear on your desk; double click on it to run the COTRAL Audiotest.
